Quick Start
The minimum you need to know to get value - don't skip this!

📄️ Basic Usage Flows

📄️ Register New Spools
Registering a spool with SpoolEase Inventory is straightforward.
📄️ Register Bambu Lab Spools
Until documentation is detailed, just scan a Bambu Lab Tag and follow the instructions in the user interface.
📄️ Register OpenPrintTag Spools
OpenPrintTag uses NFC technology not supported by current SpoolEase hardware (PN532). Until this is resolved, clone OpenPrintTag tags using your phone (e.g. NfcTools) onto an NTAG215 tag, attach it to the spool, and scan it.
📄️ Link Tag to Spool
Linking a tag to a spool is required for many SpoolEase features. By linking a tag, the system can recognize the spool simply by scanning it and perform various operations such as automatically configuring the slot when the spool is loaded into the AMS or placing it on the scale to update its weight, etc.
📄️ Scan & Load Tagged Spools

📄️ Weight a Spool
When weighting a spool you can see both the total weight of the spool and, if core information available, the weight of filament left on the spool.
📄️ Find Spool(s)
📄️ Viewing Spool Tag Information
If you want to view filament information directly from the spool, you can encode the filament data on the NFC tag by scanning the spool to staging, then selecting Staging → More... → Encode Tag, and placing the tag next to the NFC reader.
